Randy Krum, Founder & President

Randy Krum has been designing data visualizations and infographics for over 15 years, teaches data visualization, infographics and dashboard design at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, TX and workshops, and is the author of the book Cool Infographics: Effective Communication with Data Visualization and Design. Randy speaks at conferences, universities, corporate events, and government agencies about data visualization design, infographics, visual storytelling, content marketing, and the effective use of visual communication.

Randy is also the founder and author of the Cool Infographics website, that highlights some of the best examples of infographics and data visualization design. Started in 2007, Cool Infographics is one of the top websites in the information design industry.

17 years of experience within corporations, visualizing social media, consumer research, marketing strategies, patent portfolios, budgets, top customers, product timelines and more.  Randy's background is in Marketing, Product Development, Engineering, and Accounting.  This extensive background leads to a deeper understanding of the data and the messages that you want to communicate.

Data Security

Some of the most effective and powerful internal communications are confidential data shared with employees, but are never shared with the outside world.  InfoNewt is committed to the protection of your proprietary corporate data, and will keep all sensitive information encrypted locally at rest in 256-bit AES encrypted disk images and encrypted email communication is available with S/MIME certificates.
